1. The Big E. 

This is an annual event that takes place in West Springfield every year. 

It features rides, food, games, and exhibits from all over the world. 

If you love fairs and festivals, this is a fantastic event for you. 

2. Topsfield Fair

This is another fantastic option for fair lovers who happen to be in Massachusetts when it pops up. 

It’s actually been around since 1818 and includes all kinds of unique attractions and traditional festival staples. 

3. Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular

Boston is one of the most historic and notable cities in Massachusetts. 

And this fireworks show is definitely a city-wide tradition that’s enjoyed by all of Massachusetts—not just those who live in the city. 

It features a performance by the Boston Pops Orchestra, and also a massive fireworks display over the Charles River. 

4. The Harvard Museum Of Science And Culture

This museum offers an incredible glimpse into the world of science and culture, and it brings together elements from not only Bostom—but also the rest of the world. 

You can study all kinds of things here—from dinosaurs, to science, to the history of human evolution. 

5. The Museum Of Fine Arts, Boston

This beautiful museum is one of the oldest museums in the United States, and it’s filled with history, art, and all kinds of incredible stuff to learn and discover. 

It houses a massive collection of over 450,000 works of art from all over the world, and it might even take you more than a day to get through the entire thing. 

6. Salem

This town, which played home to the infamous Salem Witch Trials, boasts a dark and fascinating history. 

Today, it’s a fascinating and historic place to visit. Some people say that it’s filled with dark energy—while others see it as a historic relic of a time long past. 

The Salem Witch Trials took place back in 1692, but they left such a horrific legacy that, even to this day, they are a centerpiece of the town’s history—and are one of the main things talked about in regard to the community. 

7. Cape Cod National Seashore

If you love beautiful coastline, and desire to see some of the most brilliant coastline areas anywhere in the United States (or even in the world), then you’d be missing out by not paying a visit to the Cape Cod National Seashore. 

It offers stunning views of the ocean, as well as sandy beaches and awesome opportunities for outdoor recreation. 

8. Nantucket

This charming coastal island lies right off the coast of Cape Cod. It has an amazing and historic downtown, but it also features plenty of upscale shops and incredible beaches. 

This is the classic New England Harbor destination!

9. The Berkshires

This mountain range sits in western Massachusetts, and is a popular place to visit if you want to bike, hike, or just in general experience a bit of New England nature.

10. Boston Common: Boston Common

This is the oldest public park in the United States—and its home is in Connecticut. 

It’s a fantastic place to relax, unwind, people watch, and enjoy a picnic.
