WHY YOU SHOULD MAYBE SKIP YOUR BREAKFAST

Read Time:5 Minute, 35 Second

All our lives, we have been drilled over and over again that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that going without it can even lead to weight gain. However, some people are now arguing that the historical link between breakfast and health is merely a myth created by the cereal industry. And if you skip breakfast you will have more time playing online casino games.

There are currently plenty of rumors swirling around the concept of interval fasting, and now there is growing evidence that not eating breakfast can actually have health benefits – both for the brain and the body.

Many models and stars like Miranda Kerr and Beyonce reportedly swear by different variations of fasting. This includes the option of eating whatever you want five days a week, but only eating 500 calories a day on two other days. There is also the option to eat in a window of eight hours per day and fast for the remaining 16 hours. Also popular is the two-meal method, where you eat only two meals a day, skipping breakfast or dinner.

WHAT YOU CAN TRY

ONLY TWO MEALS A DAY

Many have trouble sticking to a strict diet. Giving up certain foods only makes their cravings for them increase. Counting calories has always bored many.

However, after the concept of fasting is fascinating, you should try it and integrate it into your life. However, we hear that skipping breakfast can give you more energy and make you eat less and lose weight. So it is worth a try. Decide to optimize your daily routine by skipping breakfast, giving yourself a fasting window of about 15 to 16 hours a day. That means eating dinner no later than 8 or 9 p.m., and noon is the first meal of the day. The plan is to stick it out for two weeks – maybe even 3 to see how your success is.

This is what happens after 3 weeks without breakfast:

More and more evidence is surfacing that fasting can have health benefits. So you should try it for yourself and give up your breakfast for two weeks.

A lot of trainers and other people who are active in the fitness industry tell us that they would really hit it at breakfast – including carbs, but they would work off those the rest of the day.

This is exactly why you might think that having a big breakfast would lead to eating less throughout the day. However, for many it is a trend to eat a hearty breakfast and usually with lots of toast, egg and avocado – both during the week and on the weekend.

Because you do not eat until noon, you rely on coffee to get you through the morning – however, most people’s consumption didn’t really change. So you don’t have to worry about becoming coffee addicted.

Many drink at least one, but usually two cups of coffee every morning, so you may consider drinking more of it than usual during the fast. It is known that caffeine can be used as an appetite suppressant during fasting.

This may also be due to the fact that you drink a lot of water. The normal water consumption of an adult should be up to 3 liters a day.

But during fasting, you usually drink much more. Many people who have tried Interval Fasting noticed that they drank one and a half to two liters alone, even before lunch.

The rest of the day you continue to drink normally, so that you get almost four liters of water per day. Which is very good for your skin and your organs. This is a habit that you should keep.

DOWNSIDES

The stomach growl can be embarrassingly loud.

Skipping breakfast as a meal is not so much the problem – but not reaching for fruit or chocolate at the office or at work is for many. You might expect to suffer from headaches and excruciating hunger, but that is only in a few cases. However, the stomach growling can be really loud- which is not ideal at work or at school. And it did not just go away within a few days. The body has to get used to it first.

And it will not stop during the second week, which can be just as hard as the first.

The stomach growling doesn’t have to subside during the second week. Only a few have this happen. In fact, you may feel that it gets worse during the second week. Around eleven o’clock it can get especially bad as the body is used to having a few snakcs or getting ready for lunch. The stomach can growl loudly especially then.

The stomach growling can really distract you a lot especially in the beginning. But you have to keep going as it gets better with time. You have to have the right motivation.

Fasting can be really hard the morning after a few drinks.

The first week of going without breakfast and then meeting friends for a few drinks can make you feel even worse than normal the morning after. The next morning you can’t stop the feeling of starvation. Which is not really conducive to concentration at work. Without being really hungover, you still want to have something carbohydrate-rich to soak up the alcohol. But you have to stay strong or stop drinking. Which is auc hvery beneficial. However, who has anything against a few cocktails with a good friend?

Just like the morning after a workout, it is the same after drinking. You just want to eat.

The morning after your first workout, you’re really hungry, no matter if you had devoured pasta with carbonara the night before after working out at the gym.

You have to stick to the plan to see the results.

Can it even save you money?

Yes, say some who have tried it. You spend less money on food. Firstly because you have to plan and secondly because you miss a meal. If you have a fasting window of 15 or 16 hours, you should be sure to always have something ready to eat when it’s noon, because you’ll be so hungry then. You should not wait until then to go to the supermarket and buy something for lunch when you are starving. One way to prevent this is to take leftovers to work or keep ingredients there. So you are always ready to have food at work.

So now it is up to you to make this experience and see the changes, ups and downs yourself.
